I removed my old leaky toilet to replace with new one. The flange underneath was in quite a shambles. The "funnel" shaped piece attached to the pipe appears to be OK, but the orange collar that the toilet attach screws go into around the outer perimeter of the "funnel" was virtually destroyed. I removed the rest of the orange "collar", but it appears that all the flange kits are one piece (funnel included). The material is all gray pvc and the funnel piece is glued on solid.
Is there a way to fix this without having to remove the funnel piece? I am definitely plumbing challenged as you can probably gather by the terminology I use, but I am a mechanical engineer, so not completely mechanically incompetent. Attached are 2 pictures, one right after the toilet was removed, and 1 after I cleaned the orange collar gunk away.

Please help.

There is a product that you can buy at a plumbing wholesale called "Bay Flange" it replaces the metal that was rusted away on your old flange. I am not sure if Home Depot sells them or not. They are a little tricky to get into place with out losing one of the bolts so be careful because the bolts furnished are important because others might not work. This is a kit and consists of two metal half moon looking pieces and then Two bolts and two nuts to fit the bolts to tighten to the plastic flange that is remaining and two more nuts and washers to hold the commode to the flange.

Hope you find one because it is the easiest way to complete the job you want to do.

That is exactly what I was thinking of. I didn't know if that existed or not, so thanks for the tip, I'll look for that tomorrow.

That "orange gunk" you removed was the remains of the wax ring.
