I delivered my son on Dec. 6, 2007, via C-section and I also had my tubes tied in the process. I've been nursing him and since mid-January had a period lasting 3-4 days every 2 weeks. I talked to my doctor but he said it might be just normal bleeding after delivery. I'm not convinced however. Is this normal?? The periods aren't extremely heavy, but it doesn't seem like after-delivery spotting.

It can be normal. Your periods can be off while you are breastfeeding, or they may become very regular again. Did they start up a bit after your postpartum bleeding ended? Odds are it is due to the breastfeeding, but did your doctor also do a pelvic exam to rule out any gynecological concerns? If you are not comfortable with his diagnosis, consider another visit to look into more possibilities to give you some peace of mind. If need be, perhaps a visit to another doctor could give you another opinion.
