I have 2 1099-MISC forms I need to enter but it keeps taking me to a self employment page and asks me what my business name and other things are. I don't not own a business I just did some contract work for another business. Also does the income on my 1099-MISC count toward my gross yearly income?

Generally you enter 1099 income through a Schedule C. You were an independent contractor. You can use your own name as the business name. The 1099 income is matched against any business deductions you might have and the Net counts on your annual gross.

How you will report the 1099-Misc income on your tax return, read: Your U.S. Tax Return: W2 or 1099: Employee or Independent Contractor. (http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/03/w2-or-1099-employee-or-independent.html)
