hi everyone,

My girlfriend and I are living in an old warehouse turned apartment. The roof is corrugated sheet metal, with a dropped styrofoam tile ceiling. There are mice in between the dropped ceiling and the roof, and the sound of them gnawing on the styrofoam in the middle of the night is driving us nuts! I realize since it is an old rope factory the mice have been there forever and we will likely never fully get rid of them. However, if we could keep them away from our living area we'll be happy. I've tried Rat-X type poison which dries up the dead mouse but they don't seem to be taking the bait. Does anyone have any suggestions? I've heard of ultrasonic machines, but have no idea what they are about. Our living area is roughly 50 sq. m. Please help!

Are you allowed to have a cat? We had a really bad squirrel problem until we acquired a cat. It seemed his mere presence was enough to convince them to find somewhere else to live. (It helped that he liked to catch and eat them, too.)

First most likely the poison is working but if you have 100's of mice it may take months to clear them out.

Also depending on where you live, they will travel, some areas get field mice that come indoors often during the winter times

But you can more bait, buy several brands and types and if that does not work call a professional.
