Hello,
In both of our upstairs showers, it is very difficult to adjust the water temperature. There are two knobs on each shower, one for hot water, one for cold water (it is not a single, adjustable knob).
Here's the problem: When we turn on the hot water, it is scalding. If the cold water knob is then turned on, even to what would seem to be a trickle (that is, the knob is turned a mere fraction of a twist), the water becomes freezing. There is no in-between. Aside from dancing into and out of either a scalding or freezing stream of water, the result is that the hot-water heater drains after a couple of minutes, and only freezing cold water remains.
I've searched through the site, and just don't understand what I need to be looking at, or what to do. I'm at my wits end, here, and would be grateful for any tips.
Thanks so much,
Jess
