I have come across a few very fuzzy house insects and I can't find out what they are via a web search. It looks like a fast moving ball of hair about an inch or so long. I looked up insects and came upon a house centipede, but it is much hairier than that common bug.

Any suggestions so I can look it up on the net?

If you take a picture, you can probably send it to the link below. They identify bugs on that site, and there is information on one of the links to that page that tells how to ask them.

What's That Bug: Silverfish, Bristletails and Firebrats (http://www.whatsthatbug.com/silver.html)

I wondered if it was a silverfish?

I'm hoping for an answer from a guy with insect knowledge. No chance for taking a picture as the critters speed to the baseboard!
