This is great.. I don't know why I did not find this forum in the first place. Anyway, I do not think my case is unique, but here is what I understand after reading all the threads.

Case Description:
- Indian Citizen, Single
- So far filed 1040NR EZ and 8843 in 2005, 2006 & 2007 with $5000 in the itemized deductions (Line 11 of 1040NR EZ)
- Receive 2 W2s, one from my university because I worked as a grad assistant and second from my company where I currently work (OPT and H1)

Jul 2005 - Jul 2007 - F1 Status
Aug 2007 - Oct 2007 - F1 with OPT
Oct 2007 to present - H1B Visa

My understanding:
1. I should file 1040NR - EZ with 8843
2. I can have $5350 in line 11 of the form for itemized deductions
3. I can have $3400 in 13 for exemption deduction

Please confirm if I am right on this asap, as I want to get this weight out of my way.

Thanks in advance for all the help offered!
