Shebo:

Not clear on the question... or maybe I am just making a bigger deal then it is.
Is this a new problem that just popped up.. or always like this since moved in?

So.. plenty of hot in kitchen... but at upstairs SINK (?) and upstairs BATH (?) there is reduced or NO hot water?

Give us more details... thank you... Mark

Hello Massplumber,

We just moved in on Sat. 3-29-08
And it didn't work from the start. We get hot water in kitchen, and upstairs warm for about 5 min. and then it goes cold. We have summer/winter hookup ( Oil) My husband thinks if we get a new water heater that it will fix the hot water. We are going to put a Electric. Hot water heater in. But I don't want to do that if we don't have to. Can you help us?

Thank you Shebo:(

I say you call your real estate agent and ask them why no hot water... seems to me that you have enough to deal with, with moving in and all!

Anyway, Sounds like you have a tankless hot water system (means hot water comes from boiler... no storage tank present).. can you confirm that?

How long does hot water last at the kitchen sink? Can you guys take a shower upstairs.. After you run out of hot water upstairs... is there still plenty of hot water at kitchen sink faucet?

Get back to me with the answers.. see what we can think of... Mark
