Hi,
I had filed 1040 EZ last year for 2006 when I was still F1 visa and in school. H&R block told me I owed Federal 900odd $$$. I didn't understand the difference and tried Turbotax (1040EZ) and got couple of hundred back. Now this year when I'm filing, I realize my mistake. Didn't pay any Social or Medicare till I was converted to H1 B in Oct, 2007. How should I file this year?
Should I amend and file and 1040NR with 8843 form
OR
Continue with 1040 EZ
Thanks

For 2006, you will file amended tax return Form 1040X along with properly done nonresident tax return (Form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ) and Form 8843.

For 2007 also you will file nonresident tax return with Form 8843.
Nonresident return can't be e-filed. For more on nonresident filing, Read: Your U.S. Tax Return: U.S. Tax Filing Requirements for Non-Residents (http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/03/us-tax-filing-requirements-for-non.html)
