I have a Maple chase item 09620 and would like to replace it with the Honeywell RTH3100C. I am unsure how to wire it up since the Maple chase unit has a black wire into the W2 spot, and a jumper from W2 to E. The new unit does not have a W or W2.

Ok, on the old one, here is what the wireing looks like.

C-Brown
R-Red
Y1-Green
E-Orange
G-Green
W2-Black
B-Blue

I also have a jumper from E to W2.

My new unit from left to righ has E, AUX, Y,G,O,L,R,B,C

See page 10 of this document and transpose the wires.

This is the original wiring diagram for your old thermostat. Once you see how the old one was wired just transpose the wiring to the new Honeywell. This will make it simple for you since it would be hard to explain all the circuits here. There are other diagrams but I was looking for one specific for the B-blue terminal.

Here is your new unit also.

So my jumper would go from E to AUX or Orange to Black in my case?

I have no opinion as I said before as to where the wires will go since they were not marked at removal!
