My son's father (we were never married, only dated for 2 weeks. And this has nothing to do with being jealous) after we broke up go a 16 year old girlfriend (he is almost 30). He took her out of school and took her to flordia. It was 3 weeks before anyone found them and brought her home. He was convicted of rape of a minor and kidnapping. He had to register as a sex offender. ******EDIT****. I don't feel he is a postivive influence on my son. He doesn't pay child suppot (which doesn't matter to me). He can't get a job (which is his issue). And he hasn't seen my son since October. I would like to know if I can get his parental rights terminated. He has nothing to do with us anyway so I would prefer him to just go away. (please forgive me for sounding bitter, you cannot possibly imagine the stess I have indored because of him). His has nothing to do with jealousy. I have a loving fiancé who I have been with since I was 3 months into my pregnancy. I just want what is best for my son and I don't think being around a kidnapping rapist is a good environment for him. Am I being ridiculous or can anyone else see the cause for my wanting his rights terminated?

Unless he is a danger to the child you cannot terminate his rights. Maybe he'll agree to sign away his rights when you are married, prove it's a stable marriage and your husband agrees to support the child. It is very, very difficult to get parental rights terminated - read some of the other posts.

If you don't care about support, why do you care that he can't find a job?

It is inappropriate and unnecessary for you to post his name, and, yes, you do sound bitter.
