I was shopping at a drug store and this song started playing. The funny thing is it got me thinking about another song I remember hearing a long time ago. Must have been between 1994-1998. The rock and roll tempo and instruments felt very much like Bruce Springsteen, but I don't think he was the artist. And the only thing I can recall is a catchy chorus that doesn't even use words!
Na-na-na-na Na- Na- Na-na-na-na!
Na-na-na-na Na- Na- Na-na-na-na!
(repeats)
If anyone can solve this mystery with this flimsy information, I would be grateful!

Wow, that's a tough one.
I know Beck had a song with that in it, but that may have been later than you are talking about.
Good Luck

Thanks for the reply, Dank28. I found the song finally! "Walk on Water" by Eddie Money. Turns out I was more off with my clues than I thought.

I don't know much of this song. All I know is it is country, and a few words.
Here goes trying, "and light a cigarette" . I know it's not much.
My fingers are crossed.

Male or Female singer? What kind of country? Classic or the newer stuff?

dank28-
It sounds older, with the steel guitar. I've only heard it twice, and I've always been in a country ballroom.

I'm not getting any clues from internet searches. (Well, I'm actually getting WAY too many hits)
Can you think of ANY other lyrics? Is the singer male or female?

"Gunpowder and Lead" by Miranda Lambert?
Chorus goes: I'm goin' home going to load my shotgun, wait by the door and light a cigarette, he wants a fight well now he's got one, and he ain't seen me crazy yet. Slapped my face and shook me like a ragdoll, now don't that sound like a real man, I'm going to show him what little girls are made of... gunpowder and lead.
