You need to contact your consulate.

For future reference, this site is organized into forums and subforums. Questions should be posted to an appropriate subforum. This subforum is for questions about using the service.

You will need to apply for a passport. Without one you willnot be able to travel to any country - they will just stop you at the airport - it is all part of the security check.

If you go to your local post office and tell them you need to apply for a passport, they will be able to give you the correct forms to fill in.

You will need to get a photo of yourself too (passport size) you can do that in a photbooth, found in local supermarkets like ASDA etc. You will need it to be signed by someone in an authoritative job like a teacher, policeman that sort of thing - someone who knows you, but is not connected to you by family etc.

Then just send it off in the Freepost envelope provided with the forms.

It usually takes up to fours weeks to come back to you. If you need it sooner the other option would be to find out the nearest office and drive there to have it completed the same day.

The only one I know of is in Newport, Wales, but there are otheres.

You can also do it online at UKPA - United Kindom Passport Agency. Visit this address: http://www.ukpa.gov.uk/ - it will give you all the information you need and direct you to a section which tells you how to apply.

Hope this helps :)

Thanks Chery. I travel a lot - so I know a lot about obtaining passports even at the last minute. Once you have one though they are valid for 10yrs.
