How do you know if your hard drive crashed? What does it do or not do?

Why do I get "No Signal" on my monitor in French or Spanish?

Why will my power button work to turn on the computer, but won't turn it off?

1. You will get a message that varies depending on your bios. Something like "Error reading Drive C:", or your computer will fail to boot with a message similar to "hard drive or device not found "

2. Probably related to your previous question. Could be a few different things. Search this website for 'monitor no signal', lots of threads about that.

2. I read through a lot of them and I know it is not my monitor. I just don't know what inside my computer it would be, my mother board? My video card?
