I have what can only be described as a vicious migraine. My head has hurt so bad that I can move my head without a tear coming to my eye FOR THREE DAYS now. What's going on? Aspirin, Tylenol, Midol, and Excedrin don't help.

What could have caused this and how do I make it stop?:(

And I'm almost positive this is in the wrong section, but didn't know where else to put it...

PLEASE HELP ME!

I know you don't want to hear this - but having such horrendous pain that regular over the counter meds won't even touch means that there is something wrong. I used to have horrid migraines and when I finally consulted with a dr and he did the proper tests I was diagnosed with migraines. It did take some doing, but I then took a combination of different medicines for about 9 months and they went away. If you have a real one sided pounding, are extremely sensitive to light and noise, get relief when you throw up (yes, it can relieve a real migraine's pressure on your head) and must be in a dark quite room to get any relief at all - then you have a migraine.

The CFO where I worked had horrible headaches and went to see his dr. He ended up just barely able to drive home. He was diagnosed with a tumor on his pituatary gland and had to be operated on immediately. He was fine afterward.

Please dear, see a dr as soon as you can because having your eye tear when you move your head tells me that this is something serious and should not be taken lightly. If your symptoms get worse - please go to the ER. You are too nice a lady and I'd hate to see anything happen to you. Twink

If it has been going on for three days you really should go she a doctor. They can make sure that it really is a migraine and not something else. They can also give you something for your migraines that will actually work for your level of pain. Until then I use ibuprofen on mine when I don't have anything stronger.

My main problem is that I don't have health insurance. I already have bills that need to be paid to the hospital before I should be acquiring more.

UGH!

I'm not irritated by loud noise, or bright light. Just moving my head... Oh, that has to be bad. I suppose I will go to the emergency clinic on Monday. They only charge $35 for emergency appointments.

Thanks guys.

It may be sinus pain. Those who have not had sinus pain that bad may disagree. Once I called a friend for help because bending over to pick up my baby made me scream. The friend brought a strong decongestant and ibuprophen. It helped. I was functional within 40 minutes.

But, the ER may be able to help. Get it checked out. In debt is better than continued suffering and not knowing.

A bad sinus headache feels to me like there is a tight metal band around my head. Any movement of the head seems to make the "band" tighten. Shedding tears is a symptom because it just hurts so bad.

No bright lights... no loud noises...

Usually tells me not a migraine.

simoneaugie may be right... as it could be sinus pains...

Specifically what part of the head does it hurt?

It could be something as simple as dehydration or indigestion to something more serious to an aneurysm.

I understand current situation... as hospitals won't even see you for serious tests without knowing they'll get paid... but at least do try the er clinic and see what the doc says.

It seems to be right above my left ear... and forehead... feels like my brain is swollen.

If you have recently had an impact on your head, it may be a concussion. Also, dehydration can cause migraines as well as lack of sleep etc.

Go to a doctor hun, headaches can be a symptom of a very serious problem.

Hope this helps,
Louis.

I don't have health insurance... I can hardly afford to go to the emergency clinic.

No reason impact.
No dehydration. I have a water bottle permanently stuck to my hand that gets refilled at least five times a day.
And I get plenty of sleep.

If pain killers aren't touching it. Get to a doctor, better to be safe than sorry.

He should be able to give you stronger painkillers and a reason.

Louis.

Have you had your blood pressure checked recently? This can be a serious sign of high blood pressure.

I've had this problem too. It started when I was (drunk) wrestling my friend and he somehow made me airborne, smashing my face in the floor. Anything similar happen to you? It could be a concussion migraine. Should go away within a couple days to 3 weeks.

No, I think I would have noticed getting a concussion.
