We had an older CArrier thermostat. The old wiring went as follows...
Orange = o/w2
Red = R
y/y2 Yellow
G = Green
C = Black (Common)
W/W1 = White

New thermostat has the following

W
Y
RH
RC
G

We have hooked this up every which way and the only thing that will come on is the heat. Can anyone help? Thanks!

You have the wrong thermostat. Looks like you have a heat pump and that stat will not work.

Thanks Guys! Our thermostat went out late last night and that was about all that I could find in my small town. I went to Flowes and they told me this one would work. In the end I just went back to Wal-Mart and got a honeywell and it works fine

And BY THE WAY for anyone that is reading this... DO NOT BUY A HUNTER brand thermostat!

If you have a A/C with a heat strip that is considered a "heat pump" You will have to buy a thernostat for a heat pump with auxiliary heat. We bought a Honeywell model #RTH3100C
