Hi Gypsyssoul:

Look at the pictures below (one pic. Is more under sink, other pic. Is at sink strainer)... Tell us the particular part that is leaking at the sink....ok??

Do you have a garbage disposal connected at sink? Answer questions, then we can help you... Mark

Thank you for answering... The problem is the drain extenstion. I took the time and cleaned it up. Cut off the black tape that was used.. The pipe was not glued. And found that the pipe was not level to the other pipe. They had some spray foam around the bass of the pipe. I cut that away. So now the pipe is straight. Now it is ready to be fixed... What type of clue would I use? And would I need a taping for the pipe? Please let me know. I thank you again for your help... Gypsyssoul

Hi Gypsyssoul:

If could post a picture.. would really help tons here. Sounds like you did good job of exposing pipe/fitting... but sounds like someone else really screwed up the connection to begin with.

Is this all metal pipes? Or some kind of plastic pipe?

If metal, there should be a threaded nut that slides over the drain extension and threads onto the pipe coming from the wall. You would probably need to replace the nut and washer to repair this leaking joint.

If no threads and the last person just taped/filled between pipes.. then you may need to purchaese a fernco type rubber clamp and install that (see pic.)

If plastic pipe.. get back to us.. let us know. Let me know thoughts... Mark
