Currently using turbotax...

I did some contract work and my employer has not sent me a 1099... that's fine. I know the exact amount that I received for services

However, on turbotax, when I click on "other miscellaneous income" it only allows me to enter in the income I gained from my own personal business. Anyone know what I can do?

I thought about entering it into the 1099-MISC form... but I wasn't sure if it was for RENT, ROYALTIES, or OTHER INCOME (other income states that it is for income for services NOT rendered)

Anyone use turbotax?

Contract work income or income as independent contractor is self employed income which is reported on schedule C (Form 1040).

For how you will treat the 1099-Misc income (even if you did not receive 1099-Misc), read: Your U.S. Tax Return: W2 or 1099: Employee or Independent Contractor. (http://taxipay.blogspot.com/2008/03/w2-or-1099-employee-or-independent.html)
