Most probably you meant the "three-fifths compromise".

It was just that, a COMPROMISE. It was the only way to get both sides to settle down and make everyone happy a little while longer.

Write this down on your homework paper. The founders could not have created the Constitution unless they had some give an take . The 3/5th compromise and the Connnecticut Compromise dealth with the power of large vs. small states and more importantly the irreconsilable issue of slavery. All they did was in essence kick the can down the road. None of the compromises solved the issues but it bought them time to hopefully solve the issue at some later date.
