If I want to ty in to a 1/2" CPVC pipe (warm water line) that is a few years old, how do I clean that connection?

Jong66... could use just plain old sandpaper and then use a purple pvc/cpvc primer and a cpvc cement.

Hercules and weld-on make acceptable pvc/cpvc primers... but will need to use approved cpvc cement to weld cpvc fitting together... ok?

Scroll to the cpvc sections... especially the last link.
