Last August of 2007 we had a tumor removed from my cats cheek. After the operation she still had a lump at the area of the tumor. We brought her to the vet so he could take a good look at it and he said there was nothing they could do for her. He said that there is something eating away at her bones. I need help fast because we are just about to put her to sleep. Please, I only want an expert to answer this please.

I am so sorry about your cat. If it was cancer I could help a little bit, but eating away at bones I am not sure if that is the cancer or if it is something else. Did the vet give you a name for what it is? I could look it up if you have a name for it.

It sounds like, if you want to prevent her from suffering, it is time to put her down. Ask your vet if this is what you should do. Remember, this is not about you missing her as much as her suffering and being miserable if you don't do anything.

I have four cats, have always had cats in my life. Cats unfortunately live only a small portion of our lives and then they die. The thing that always made me feel better after losing a cat to death was first grieve and remember my precious cat and then, in his or her honor and memory, adopt another cat from a shelter and give it a good home. I knew my cat was smiling down at me from kitty heaven when I did that.

I don't know; but when she eats' I guess the hole is so big that it is up in her nose. So when she eats she starts sneezing like crazy. I am so wooried for her.

Cats purr and seem to be happy even when they aren't. If she begins to sleep a lot or disappears into some corner, she's definitely in pain. The main thing is that she isn't going to get better, it sounds like, so don't have false hope that all will be well with her. The sneezing isn't right, and she probably has trouble breathing and eating?? Please talk to your vet about her future.
