I was tinkering around many years ago and discovered that when gasoline is mixed with alcohol containg some % of water, the water precipitated to the bottom. If the "brew" were mixed with a specified percentage of gasoline, would the water separate and precipitate, thus skipping the distillation process entirely? Or could the brew be put through a centrifuge to separate the alcohol and water?

All I know is when I get water in my tank and it settles to the bottom of the tank when my gas gets low enough I have to add dry gas and more gas for it to run right.

Of course. Water will not mix with alcohol in the presence of gasoline. I'm still hoping someone in the industry will tell me why it won't work commercially.
