The hot and cold lines leading into the washer are OK, but for some reason the washer only runs cold. Not warm or hot? What could be the problem?

The solenoid valve where the water goes in has separate hot and cold controls. Either the hot solenoid if bad, or there is a problem in the controls not turning it on. If giving it a whap near the hoses turns it on, chances are the valve is going bad. Oh, yes, check for a plugged up screen. The hot water is more quick to lime up than the cold.
