Hi, I've been reading so many topics, and what people have been saying. & I have to say that it is very comforting to see that many people have similar problems that they would like to solve. I don't feel alone. Well first off let me tell you what my situation is. Over the years that I have been growing up, my skin looks very dull and dirty. I have dark spots under my eye, above my lip. My skin does not look appealing at all. Well I turned to coverup and many expensive foundation. But it still my face looks very dull and dirty... It doesn't have any light or shine to it. I do not have an even skin tone. I have many discolorations. Also I want to go a few shades lighter, because I think that my face will look better. So I was wondering what skin lightening product is the best for me. Because I want to order one soon, before my birthday, and I don't want to be dissapointed. Please reply ASAP. Thank you:)

Sweetheart I don't. I didn't know I was going to see unexpected results. I have tried a lot of products and like any skin care regimen, its all a trial and error. Some products may work for you and may not for me. But you'll never know until you try. You don't have much to lose, only results to gain.

I am not sure where you are based but most Black afro carribean/american stores stock it and it is usually much cheaper than buying it on line.

There are listings for Bio Claire on places like eBay and Guesso.com sell it.

Be careful about using it on the face, as it does tend to thin the skin.

Have you thought about trying a retin A or retinol product to help with skin turnover and
It may also be helpful to incorporate a Vitamin C product, which again aids in skin brightening. Just make sure that if you do get both that you don't use them together. Retin A products are best used at night and the vitamin C during the day.

Hey Mary jane92

You should join "the bright skin forum". Many reviews on many different products. I agree with pnaybeauty and maharani.

You are going to have to spend money. To achieve what you want. Especially if you want it to be semi-permanent. One of the keys to ligtening and overall good complexion is is exfoliating and vitamin c.

When I mentioned vitamin C, I meant a cream that includes this as an ingredient, as oppposed to taking vitamin C Pills.

It is hard to recommend just one product as what may work for one, may not be suitable for you and it may be just a case of trying things out and see what agrees with you. If I told you the amount of products I have tried and tested over the years, you would be horrified. Unfortunately, this skin lightening lark can lead to many disappointments and much money spent. If it were just simply a case of finding a miracle product, we would have had this forum wrapped up in a single thread with the ultimate answer for everyone.

At the moment, I am using makari products, but am not confident to recommend them, as they are renowned for causing spots and I am working hard to combat this, by using retin A products, mama lotion and occasionally spot treatments. On my legs, I am using Bio claire for a few weeks and then giving it a break, for a couple of weeks, as it causes my skin to thin and get sensitive. Other than that, I just use a regular body cream, as I don't want to use lightening products on my entire body and I really don't have any issues with the rest of my body. As you can see it can seem complicated and I don't have just one cream that I rely on.

Maybe you should read through the threads and see what people's results have been and decide from that, that what product you would like to try. We all wish you good luck and let us know how you get on.

Yeah thank you for recommending... Im kind of scared to use BioClaire actually... because I've heard it turns your skin black after a few months of use... Maharani, have you used BioClaire? If you have did you receive the results you wanted? Do you have any before and after pictures? Thank you.

Maryjane,

Yes, I have used bio claire on my legs and it does work. Have been using it, off and on since last year but don't have any before and after pictures. Fortunately I haven't experienced my skin turning black after a couple of months like a couple of people have mentioned. However I have made sure that I don't use it continuously, so maybe that has helped.

MaryJane92,

It is difficult to explain how many shades I achieved but there is definite lightening with this product. I didn't have any discolouration on my legs, I just wanted to brighten the tone.

Okay so I can tell you no matter what has been tried trued and tested your best bet is to purchase Hydriquinone over the counter at any pharmacy. It takes about a week of applying at bedtime and morning all over can be used. I would also say try applying masks of cucumber and it should help!

Let me know hoiw it works for you Vennessa C Plotnikoff [email protected] serious try it you may just love me afterward
