when I take off the connector it sprays like crazy what connection, (do you mean the aerator ?) and what sprays? What's the brand name of your faucet? Let's have a few details. Regards, Tom

Happy Easter kflatt!

Hey, try to break this down a step at at a time for me.

You said, low flow kitchen sink... low flow to hot and cold water?
You took connector off... what connector?
You took faucet apart... what part(s)?

By chance do you know the name on the faucet... the model number?
That would help tons!

Have you removed the aerator at the end of the kitchen faucet spout
(SEE PIC.)? Remove this by unscrewing aerator clockwise, and then clean debris/sediment away, turn water on to purge spout clear, then re-install aerator.

Answer the questions you can. If you did not already try the aerator removal, check that. Get back to us... Mark

(HI TOM... posted same time as you (takes me so much longer then you sometimes! )!

I took of the connectors from the flex hoses to the moen faucet... the aerator has been removed and did not change a thing... the faucet is a moen but I am not sure of the model... the low flow is to both hot and cold water... I know enough to get me in trouble but am not strong enough regarding some of the jargon

OK... so the water goes to an absolute trickle... then out of nowhere... it is flowing like normal again..

Hmmm... seems like an issue with the cartridge. Last questions then... single handle or two handle kitchen faucet?

I think we can find a pic. To help you remove/replace the cartridge if you still need too.

Once we identify faucet, then can call 1800buymoen and they will send you a replacement part for free (wait two weeks for part) or they can two day express it to you for $9-12... last I heard (includes shipping/handling ;) ).

Let us know if need assistance... Mark

kflatt... I doubt I will do better... but let me try real quick. How old is faucet.. Any chance you can post a pic..

Idea here is to get into the faucet and clear the cartridge. See what you can discover on your end... you know, shut water OFF at shutoffs, see if you can get in and remove the cartridge... then remove cartridge, COVER FAUCET and pulse water on/off (need friends help here... short pulses--->>hot water ;) ). clear cartridge... reinstall. Then water back on and see what happens..? If water present at pulsed water but not after cartridge replaced... NEED NEW CARTRIDGE!

Give me an idea of how old this faucet is? Let me see what I can find.
