What's the best way to ground the computer while switching out one of the CD drives? I've heard "keep the computer plugged in, take out the old drive then hold the case while placing the new drive in'". I don't have an alligator-clip wristband. Thanks!

Don't stand on a carpet that produces static electricity.

Keep the computer plugged in.

Touch the case.

Put the drive on the computer while in the anti-static bag.

Remove drive from case. Just slide out of bag.

From then on do your insatll and don't move your feet if on a rug. The drive should not be that sensitive to static.

I have used disposable light weight rubber gloves -- they isolate hands from computer

Sensitive parts -- I had to wear them at a previous job -- have a few extras
