Good day to all. I need to replace a foot lock drain in a fiberglass shower/tub. The only real problem is that the trim around the drain is pitting and my wife says it's time to replace it. I need to know just how to first remove the existing drain and trim. I should be able to replace it once it is removed. Thanks for any help.

Remove the plug by unscrewing. Stick the handles of a pair of adjustable pliers down the drain between the cross bars, place a large screwdriver between the handles of the pliers and unscrew flange. Replace same way putting plumber's putty under lip of flange.

Follow Harolds advice. N The touch toe stopper,(see image) threads into the tub shoe. To remove the top so you can get to the crossbars unscrew the set screw located on the stem under thye knob. There's also a tool made for removing tub drains and stoppers. It's called a "tub tool",(see image).. Good luck, Tom
