Hi everyone!

I am writing a essay about dogs for my english class and I was hoping you could all help me out a little!!
There is a few things I want to know about you!
-What kind of dog you have?
-Did you Buy or Rescue your dog? Why?

It would be awesome if I could get some responses, besides I'm not asking for a whole lot!

-Lindsay:D

I have a Boston terrier. I bought him because of my parents. I was just happy to finally get a dog but if I become rich when I'm older I want to bring in all the dogs from the streets and pay people to take them home.

I have three cats rescued from the streets. (They picked me; I didn't choose them.) If I ever get a dog, he will come from a shelter.

I am the proud owner of an ex-racing greyhound. I adopted her because I was looking for a dog that would fit my lifestyle (relatively sedate, calm, peaceful, but still up for some walking, etc.) And I wanted a larger dog... one that's thumpable. Getting a rescue dog like her also meant that I had a better idea about her temperament, which is important since she was joining a cat household. I'm not sure I would have been comfortable taking on a dog that I didn't know had been with cats and been OK with the,

I have two dogs;

1. Black lab mix, 13 years old. A friends dog had puppies and we chose him.
2. Border collie mix, 7 years old. We got him from the local shelter when he was 4 months old. He had been beaten, was skin and bones and terrified of humans. We took him home, gave him the love he so desperately needed and now he's a wonderful member of our family.

When one of our dogs passes on we will definitely adopt another, only from a shelter. There are so many animals relinquished by their owners daily, they need homes, and I can provide that.

I have seven pets in total, but you only asked about dogs, so there you go.

I have 2 wonderful dogs. Cinco is 11 years old. He is a miniature schnauzer and we rescued him from a breeder. He was going to be "destroyed" because he was "imperfect" and born with 2 feet on his left front leg (which is why we call him Cinco). He is an amazing dog.
We also have a yorkie, Gin-Gin and she is a year old. I bought her from a breeder because I've always wanted one. She is very sweet.
We are the kind of people who believe that dogs are a part of the family, not to be left out in a fenced yard or even worse, on a chain and fed once a day.:mad:

German shepherd that is almost ten. I bought him from a breeder . I wanted him for search and rescue and wanted a pure bred.
I also got his older brother from the same breeder. That were naturals to the search and rescue. They loved practicing with the kids. Lost my older one at ten to leukemia about a year a half ago.
