My friends started telling this guy that I liked him(same guy as in last topic so if you have to read it it is called a bit too young to date)And I do like him but I'm only in the sixth grade(a lot of kids date)for some reason I kept saying that I don't like him... now he doesn't talk to me as much... he used to joke around a lot but now he barley does(at least to me)what should I do?? :confused:

It sounds like his feelings are hurt. I'm sure he still likes you, but boys are very immature at that age and can't take rejection very well. Let him know that you like him as a friend, but you aren't ready to date, if it helps, maybe you should tell him that your parents won't allow you to date, that way it's not you rejecting him but a rule that you have to follow.

It's hard when you're young, there are so many changes and each little thing seems like the end of the world, I remember how that was, even though I'm an old married mom now. Just remember to be yourself, don't do something that you aren't comfortable doing just because everyone else is doing it, if people can't accept you for who you are then they aren't your friends.

If he decides to stay mad then it's his loss, some day he'll realize that. Until then, keep your chin up and don't worry too much, you'll get through it, just like I did.
