Ok, first off, this may be a little long, and sorry if it is.
Secondly, here is the situation. I have been friends with my roommate for about 7 or 8 years. (I'll call him Jeff) Like any friendship we have had our ups and downs. But just recently I have gotten interested in this one girl, who he does know, and is kind of friends with. She broke up with her boyfriend (Ill call her ex Rob) He has moved on, he lives in another state, and even has a new girlfriend. I knew Rob, we were kind of friends, I mean we hung out an all, but whatever.

Anyway, I have been hanging out with this girl (Ill call Steph) and she even has told me she really likes me and would like to go out with me, but she "just doesn't know" We have had talks and she still really likes me, but she has told me she has other guys also showing interest in her, and she doesn't want to hurt any of them, but she doesn't like them the way she likes me. She told me that straight up. So, she has been working on a way to get the other guys off her back, that is not the problem, that's not why I am posting this.

I am posting this because what the problem is, is another "friend" (Ill call Bill) and he has been trying to "hook up" with Steph just to get in her pants. Even she knows that. But Bill, and Jeff are also really good friends, like brothers. However, I have known Jeff A lot longer. I am pretty sure he wouldn't lie to me but when it comes to relatioships, I don't know, cause he messed his up. (trying to keep it PG rated) Anyway, Bill and I sat down and talked about the whole "Steph" issue, cause he knows I you know, slept with her, but I'm not sure he really cares about that, cause he was actully saying he was just letting me know she "sleeps around" and Jeff just sat there agreeing with him. They both kept saying she more than likely has diseases and stuff but I really don't believe that, cause she was in a relationship for almost 8 years.

I talked to her about the conversation me, Bill, and Jeff had, and she said it wasn't true, and just looking in her eyes, I could practically tell she was telling the truth. Another reason I believe she is telling me the truth, is because ever since I started hangning out with (even before I slept with her) she has been straight up honest with me about everything. She told me she did "do it" with Jeff, and did "do it" with Bill also. Everything she has just come right out and told me.

I have tried telling Jeff and Bill to butt out of my personal life, and stuff, but Jeff keeps somehow bringing it some saying "one day your 'thing' will fall off from the diseaes you catch from her" but I feel I really know her, and that everything being said is just rumors. Jeff has also said things like "when you're not at her house, some other guy is." and other things like "she has slept with half of (the towns name)!"

I am just getting so pissed they keep talking trash about her like that, but I do let her know anything they say, cause I wouldn't want people talking about me behind my back, and we are still very good friends, and I still hang out at her house a lot, and we are close to hooking up. I just don't know if I should keep my "Tune the Mother F***s out, and just go with my gut."

So I really need some outside opinino from someone who doesn't know any of them. To see what they think, where should I go from here? I don't care what you say, just please be as honest as possible, no matter what the opinion is. I put down as much as possible down, but I am more than happy to answer any questions anyone might have. Thank you.

So, you, Jeff, and Bill are friends and Steph has slept with all of you and you don't think she sleeps around?

If you really think she's a "keeper" but you're concerned about disease, have her get tested before sleeping with her again. You get tested too. Hope you know how to share.

IT's great that she is being honest and perhaps your friends are just envious... but it does sound like she sleeps with a lot of people. She may not be good for a relationship right now.

Its not good that everyone is in your business, and even worse that she has slept with guys you know. Heck you have slept with her too, so she isn't exactly loyal to one guy is she. IIimagine a lot of guys want some, as it seems she is well known, so be cautious, very cautious. She comes with baggage, and the question is can you deal with it, as there will be a lot of talk, and behind the back chatter, and gossip. Are you up for that? Can you really deal with it? She may like you now, but it may never work, so if you can't deal with her past, and the fallout from it, leave it alone, and save you both the hassle. If the sex has you blind to all the things, that will come with this hook up, let it go. Its really up to you what you do, but keep the eyes open, and pay attention, and above all, have a thick skin, for all the talk. Be responsible for your own health, so protection is the order of the day. Your buddies may talk of her diseases, but they are in the same boat also, so don't be dumb about your health, or making babies.
