15 pounds in a month is a lot to lose unless it's mostly water weight but if you eat right and exercise enough, you should be able to get pretty close. The key to losing weight is to eat smaller portions more frequently throughout the day. Breakfast is the most important meal to have. You would want to cut out sugar and sodium as much as possible while trying to have protein and vegetables throughout the day. Steamed or grilled veggies, lean meats, low-fat dairy products, and water are the best things for you. Try eating six small meals throughout the day (usually something every 3 - 4 hours) and tie that eating plan in with a workout plan. Cardio isn't the best way to lose weight unless you incorporate sprinting or stairclimbing. The best thing to do is working out with weights. After a weight lifting session your body will continue burning calories up to 48 hours after the workout. This is because you are tearing your muscle fibers and your body has to work to repair them. Cardio is usually not stressful enough to tear fibers and therefore you only burn the calories that you burn while doing the actual workout. (normally about 500 calories an hour which equals about one meal - not worth your time if you ask me). But maybe mix some weight training with a cardio session like this: job for 3 minutes, run hard for 2, jog for 3 more, run hard for 2:30, and so on...
