Going through a divorce. I signed a disclaimer deed for my wife's new home in June 2007. There was no notary present when I signed the deed. My wife took it to a friend notary. This is fraud. Am I entitled to 1/2 of the home? What can I do to pursue it if so? Our divorce is in the early stages.

Ok, you actually signed the deed?? If you actually signed it, what is your problem, just wanting to get out of the deal you made with her.

The notory is not going to say they did not see you sign it, and if you actually signed it, you can't prove it is not yours.

God how hard can we hate the other person during the divorc

Sorry but you admit you signed it, live up to your agreement

I should have elaborated... Here is the problem. She knews that I was having a new home built in December 2007. The home is now finished, I am suppose to close on March 28. She signed a disclaimer deed for my home. My loan officer said that the FHA needs to run her credit report to ensure that we are not trying to run a scam. They need her credit report for her records. She replied that she is not signing for her credit report unless, I give her what she wants on HER terms.

I am a Masters Level children counselor. No problems between us other than we can't get along. She doesn't want to agree to 50/50 custody. My daughter (5) lives 1 mile from me. Her school is 2 blocks from me. All I want is 50/50. Even though I am entitled to child support, she makes double my income. I am also entitled to 1/2 of my school loans $7,500 being paid since they were acquired during the marriage. She sold her car after filing the petition and this was considered community property. I have told her that I am willing to waive child support and my school loans for 50/50 and a non-primary resident for our child. She is not willing to negotiate anything. She said that she will only authorize her credit report, IF I agree to the petition as is and sign a consent at her attorney's office. Uh, NO! She is trying to screw me. She said she is not going to agree or change anything in mediation. I have worked in front of the judge before and I have heard nothing but great things about him. I like my chances.

I just found out that if she is not willing to authorize my lender to run her credit, then I can get one court ordered. She is now in panic mode. Before that she was VERY mean! I gave her until 2pm to either sign the form or I'll get one court ordered. She told my loan officer off the record that she doesn't want me to see her credit report.
