Ok first you need to know if your lappy has a wireless card , if it has and you have a hub/router then yes you can connect wirelessly , if you don't have a wireless card( I think you can buy external network cards ) then you can connect your lappy to your PC via a cat5 cable providing both have ports for this , only thing bad about a cat5 cable is if the lappy is in a diff room from the PC then you have a cable running from one place to the other , can be a little tricky if you have'nt networked two pc's before though , hope this helps :)

Almost all laptops have an ethernet card built in. Most newer laptops have wireless connectivity built in.
So the first thing you need to do is check to see if there is an ethernet port. It will look like a larger phone jack and problably be right next to the modem jack. Next you want to determine if it has built in WiFi. If it does it will have a symbol that looks like a broadcast tower on it. You can also check the model on Panasonic's web site to see what it came equipped with.
The next thing we need to know to answer you is how you get onth e Internet through your desktop. Is it via modem or broadband (cable/DSL) or what?
