Hey,
I have a Payne furnace model PG8MAA042090.I Had A "Hot surface Ignitor go out,so I replaced it.I though as long as I am doing this why not replace the thermostat.I bought a "Hunter 44860 touch screen model" and replaced that along with my HSI.But Now The furnace shuts off before reaching the set thermastat temp. What happens is the heat goes out the blower stays on,I start getting a 33 error code (Limit Circuit Fault)then after 3 minutes the blower shuts off and I get a code 13 "Limit circuit lockout"Code list says it will reset after 3 hours. It never did this before.Any help would be apreciated.Thanks,Blue. It was fine before the HSI and thermostat.Could the timer (The thingy that calculates energy usage )in the thermostat be messing things up?

To isloate the problem reinstall your old thermostat just like it was. Then we will find out if it is the furnace or the new thermostat.

BTW your unit is going out on the limit circuit for some reason.

33 LIMIT CIRCUIT FAULT - Indicates a limit, or flame rollout is open. Blower will
Run for 4 minutes or until open switch remakes whichever is longer. If open
Longer than 3 minutes, code changes to lockout #13. If open less than 3 minutes
Status code #33 continues to flash until blower shuts off. Flame rollout switch
Requires manual reset. Check for: - Restricted vent
- Proper vent sizing - Loose blower wheel - Excessive wind
- Dirty filter or restricted duct system.
- Defective blower motor or capacitor. - Defective switch or connections.
- Inadequate combustion air supply (Flame Roll-out Switch open).

13 LIMIT CIRCUIT LOCKOUT - Lockout occurs if the limit or flame rollout switch is
Open longer than 3 minutes

A educated guess about all of this is that you might have wired your new thermostat wrong.

ARE all your ducts open and the return air filter clean?

I reinstalled the mecruy thermostat it works fine now.I wired exacly like the book said.I only have for wires. It was ptreaty self explanitory. It sucks cause I like that model.Easy to program see and everything.I know it was right on the wireing .I checked it 3 times.Yes I'm anal.I ran the mecry tstat for an hour with no shutdown. The Hunter made it mabe 20 minutes before the burner shut down.I checked the web after posting and found the Hunter can do that.It has something to do with the way it calculates the amount of heat it will need and the way it asks.I was to tired to go into detail.Any hints on a replacement.I really want that programability for summer air season?Lowe's carries a Honneywell for around 99. US,They anybetter?Or do you think the thermostat was just irrating a already bad part? Thanks,Your worth a thousand.LOLOL.
