I made a mistake and loaned my daughter-in-law big money so she could pay property tax on her business. She has not made much profit and has not paid me any money since borrowing it four months ago. She is avoiding me now which means I do not get to see my grandchildren. I have done the calling in the past but now I am reconciled to the fact that I must "wait this out." My son caters to her so I really can't talk to them about anything. Two friends tell me not to call. What should I do?

If you do not have this in writing, go see her, have a written loan agreement with payment plans spelled out in it, ask her to sign it and start making arrangements for payment plan.

Tell her to kindly bring your grandkids over for a visit, and if she gives you grief tell her Do not deny a grandparent, grandparents have rights!
