Hi all,

I had unprotected sex twice last month, once 15 days into my cycle and once 5 days before my period began. My period was a few days earlier than normal and was lighter, with no stomach cramps which I usually suffer quite bad with on the first 2 days.

It is now 4 weeks after the second time I has sex and for the last week I have begun to feel very tired, my boobs have been sore, I'm moody and feel only SLIGHTLY nauseus.. but only occasionally and usually in the evening, I've had on these occasion a small amount of acid rise to the back of my throat. When I feel my stomach it does sometimes feel swollen and I have had some small pains in that area but I took a home pregnancy test last night and it was negative.

Could I still be pregnant? Could it be too early to tell? Or am I being paranoid with these symptoms?

Have you had a period in February? Really it's hard to say if you are or not via the internet. The symptoms of pregnancy are very similar to those of pre-menstruation that it is impossible to go by symptoms alone.

Also, you took the test last night. If you are pregnant you got a false negative. Pregnancy tests should always be taken using first morning urine. The concentration of hCG is higher in the morning. By taking it in the evening, if you are pregnant, you either diluted your urine by drinking liquids, or you urinated the high concentration of hCG.
