What receptor proteins are on fat cells? For example, on cancerous cells there are folic receptors and therefore folic molecules will attach to them. What receptors do fat molecules have and what molecules would attach to these receptors? Please help!

That's a very large question, as adipose cells have hundreds of receptors, many of which have yet to be characterised. Is there anything specific you want to know about them?

I have posted up a Google search too, you should have a look at the papers. However if you have a specific question on some of the receptors or you want some help with terminology, I'll be happy to help.
I think some good receptors to look in to would be the insulin receptors and glutocorticoid receptors as they are integral to the role of adipose tissue.
When you talk about folic acid receptors on cancer cells bear in mind that all cancers are different and arise from different mutations from different original tissues. Therefore you cannot generalise them like that. This is unfortunate for drug development as what can work for on cancer will not work for another. This is why there is a great range of responses to cancer treatments like chemotherapy.
This is pretty much y area scientifically if you need any specific help. The question you posted, however is a kind of 'how long is a piece of string' question!
