Why should you get a free car when the rest of us pay for ours?

You're right, I don't understand. That's because you haven't given me any information.

Are you a single parent working 2 jobs just to pay the rent? Are you mentally and/or physically disabled? What is it that is preventing you from saving up and purchasing a car by yourself? You haven't explained anything and then get mad at me for not understanding.

If she has fallen in hard times like myself, and has had her last car reposessed, evicted, had to give EVERYTHING AWAY, except for the clothes on her back as well as her children, and she is trying to find work to no avail as you do need a car to get a job, as the bus does cost money even with the reduced fair, then this would be a reason to look into possibly having a car donated to her.

I have been out of work for 5 months. Homeless... my son and I are staying with my brother and his wife, however, we are homeless as it is not our home, and I have put applications in to anything, anywhere, from office work, office cleaning, night time work, to ANYTHING.

I have had 3 interviews in the past two weeks. One of them did not look to happy with the fact that I do not have my own car and will need to take a bus.

So please, one does not have to give you all their info for something like this as it can be a bit humiliating.

I do not care who knows... I am 44 years old, I have over 25 years of work experience. I am a mother of 4. 3 that are on their own trying to make it, and my 16 year old son who is still with me. And I am more than grateful for my brother putting us up even though he does not have the room.

I have lost my independence, my own bedroom with my own bed as I am sleeping on a couch. I want a job. I want my independence back. I want a chance. And I am trying to get one.

Whoever asks for a donation car obviously doesn't have the resources to buy a car of his own, I don't think you people should judge so harshly. There are people that work hard and still can't afford much. This is what the car donations programs are for. This resource I just shared here may be helpful.

Ok, I'll give you a reason. I'm the only one working. My wife hasn't found a job in over two years because her job went to Mexico. We had two cars - one broke down and the other blew up. We don't have the money to repair the car we do have and we took the other car for junk so we could make a house payment. We have three kids-all teenagers and soon they're going to have to go to school. We don't really have enough money to buy enough food, so we have to go to the church to get food because we make "too much money" to get "government" help-because I work. Don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining because the Good Lord makes sure we eat and I have work. I am so thankful for what we do have, really, and it makes me smile when I see my children healthy and happy because we can't efford health insurance. (My boss had to drop the insurance because it was getting too expensive) Brother, there are so many folks in this situation that it's not even funny or worse. If you make good money- that's fantastic! I know what it's like to have cool stuff. Four years ago I almost had the house paid- then bam! No work. I have faith, though. The Lord is so good to us and I'm thankful for All the things that He does for this family, really! I may be having a really bad time right now but at least I have my life to the full! Well, there it is. Was that answer OK?

I am a 54 year old female that is disabled and I need a car to get back and forth to the doctors appointments that I have.I can't afford to purchase a car because I am on a fixed income. I had a car but the heads blew out on it, and I could not afford to have it fixed. I can't depend on others because they let me down,I have missed appointments and been charged for missing the appointments. I have not been able to take my grand children to the movies, or visit their school where I was doing volunteer work when I am feeling good. I suffer from Fiber Myalgia, Bulging Dics in lower back,Bipolor depression,Arthritis in my back legs, arms, neck and shoulders. When I do get a ride they rush me to do what I have to do. I feel like I have lost my independence because I can't go when I need to go some where. I miss going outside getting in my car and going to the store for what I need, and going to Church, I miss that the most.I know God knows what a hard time I am having so I'm hoping and praying that he hears my cry. Call me if you can help 252-701-0020.
