I replaced the cartridge in my Moen one handle shower valve and replaced the showerhead. Now I have a lot less water coming out of the shower. The sink next to it has okay pressure. Can anybody help me?

Hi Jong... may just be some sediment got caught up in the shower head... try that. Remove the shower head and rinse/clean the head... check for pressure out shower arm at this time, too. If limited after removing the shower head, then you are going back into that valve, removing the new cartridge, and then pulsing the water on/off to clear the valve of sediment/debris, and then can reassemble again. That should do it... let me know how you make out.. ok?

If this helped, please RATE THIS ANSWER. Thank you... Mark

Also note that new shower heads have little orings inside the heads that reduce the flow to the accepted 2.5 gallons per minute required.

Look in to shower head after removing the head and should see a plastic piece with black o ring... remove it.. that may also fix your issue.

I did that still the same, because of this I am changing out the main Galv. Plumbing in the house. But the sink next to the shower is okay.

Read my last post---post#3... Jong. I think that the o ring is the issue.

I will try to remove this oring, I looked at that but I thought that was for the swiveling part. The head is just a ginuin homedepot one, brand name something like aqua...

I will look at that tonight and let you know the outcome. Thanks

Cool... I appreciate it! I use a long screw to pull the oring out.. or I just push through the plastic part with screwdriver and that fixes most... Have Good day.
