View Full Version : 2007 buick rendezvous is driving me crazy

Hey everybody this little truck has been @ the dealer almost more than it's been on the road I have 9300 on the vehicle have had 11 months regular maintenance is maintained I took my car through a car wash when I turned out the carwash and back on the street the car went into a electrical failure I took it to the dealer they said it was the acceralator pedal sensor that was 4 weeks ago I have since been to the car wash at least a couple of times I went today and the car had another failure I took it straight to the dealer as I did before this car is giving me the blues can going through the car wash cause this has anyone ever heard of this can anyone give me any insight on what's going on??

I can only speculate that water is forcibly entering the harness (high pressure from the car wash) and is somehow causing the sensor to go out of range.
Did you tell the dealer that the symptoms began after the car wash?
That accel pedal sensor assembly is inside the vehicle and should be well protected. There is a bulletin that speaks directly to water intrusion to this harness.

No I didn't wasn't really sure if I should because I wash the car a few times since the first repair and nothing happened

Just for future reference, it's always important to give as much information as you can to whomever is servicing your vehicle. Something that you may not think be related could be the direct cause of your problem.
