I bought land/mobile home in Tenneessee and paid for it with a certified check from my bank. I bought this from my boyfriends family member, This was suppose to be in his and my name, I just found out he never put my name of the deed. Is there anything I can do or is the statue of limitaions out?

How long ago did this transaction happen? Why did you pay for this without seeing the deed to the property? What happened to the closing papers on the property? You'll need a copy of the certified check and make an appointment to see an attorney.

Don't know about statutes of limitations since you didn't even say how long ago.
I am taking it he put his name on it without you?
I think you would start with telling him you want your name added.
If he gives you a hard time then possibly your certified check can be evidence to help you in court to get it added.
You need to push for this cause if you ever break up then you pretty much lose out.
You need to do it asap cause if you wait until you break up a Judge could look at it as a gift that you now want back out of spite.

Was there a written contract, did you see or sign a deed.
Or did you merely hand them a check?

In Tennesse all property sales and transfers has to be in writing. So how long as it been, you may be able to file a lien against the property, which can be a good holding point. This will require a good attorney, so go get one.
