The answer stated that if you are at that location temporarily, they can be deducted.

I accepted a full time job and moved to a location (Overland Park, KS) and worked there for 10 months after which I found another job and moved to a new location (St. Louis, MO)

I am not a contractor and was fulltime. Is it possible for me to use the itemized food and rent deductions?

I worked on F1(OPT) from Feb 19th 2007 to Sep 30, 2007, on H1 from Oct 1 to Dec 31, 2007. I quit my job then, and joined my new position in St. Louis Jan 2, 2008.

I entered US on Jan 1, 2005, and so filing as a nonresident. Is it possible for me to take deductions for rent food transport etc for the whole of 2007, or for the period in which I worked on OPT?

Sorry, your move to Overton, KS would NOT be considered a temporary job assignment because you CHANGED JOBS.
