I am 26 weeks and 3 days pregnant. Lately I have been experiencing some cramping. Yesterday I had a lot of Braxton Hicks contractions. I mean like every 30 minutes or so, but I didn't worry about it because they didn't get stronger. Today I am having some mild period cramp-like cramps in my lower abdomen. Is this just round ligament pains or should I be concerned?

It could easily be a hundred different things. More growing, muscle cramps, dehydration could play a big role, you could be working too hard and need to take it easy, it could just be regular braxton hicks, as your body has to start preparing for labor. Its got to build up its strength for it, you can't get huge muscles in one day, it's the same with your labor muscles, they have to work and contract to strengthen over time. It could be something that is serious. I would suggest watching you water intake, talking to your doctor about what is going on etc.

Well at my job I sit most of the day and I usually only drink water. I have been feeling a little stressed with my job, but not more than normal. I am carrying my baby pretty high and since I sit at my job she stays in my ribs and makes it hard for me to breathe. I am going to the Dr next week, so I will make sure I talk to her about it. Thanks for the answer!!

No prob, good luck. Make sure you get up often and take a little walk around to stretch out your legs. Let us know what the doc says.
