Has anyone used any of the Philippines Medical Doctor Vicki Belo's whitening products. I came across a few of her products on eBay and I wanted to know if anyone has tried her whitening products with any success. Its said that she's performed countless cosmetic surgeries for dozens of Philappino entertainers. If anyone has any info on any of Dr. Vicki Belo's whitening products, advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Are they the same products just packaged differently or are they actually two different products. I heard both work excellent, and the only side effect is mild peeling, which isn't even noticeable. But I'm just wondering if the products from both names are actually the same, if not, what is the difference. Also, has anyone on this forum tried any of Diana Stalder's products or Dr. Vicki Belo's? Thanks.

Diana Stalder never worked for me, but others have said they had good results.

I was just wondering if you had any more thoughts on purchasing the Benzylarbutin.

All the website who sell Diana Stalder products claims that it's the same products this Dr Belo used on her clients and also sell to them with different packaging. Also I've seen people selling it on Ebay claiming that they got it from the manufacturer and without the official label. They said it's the same thing but they save money buying the products in bulk without label. Some have their own custom-made label.

So you can't be sure, it could be just marketing hype. And we all know that when it comes to beauty products, expensive doesn't really mean effective. And as far as skin-lightening is concerned, it's trial and error I'm afraid. You'll have to look for something that work for you as everybody's skin is different and react differently to different products.

Wow, now I'm really confused! :o

Why the Diana Stalder vs. Dr. Vicki Belo?

OK Dr.Vicki Belo is an asian doc who sells whitening products to her celebrity clients?

Where does Diana Stalder fit into all of this?

Never even thought about the two different names.
Too late now, my jar of cream just arrived.

Man, it's small:eek:!

The papaya soap should be here any day now.

I couldn't believe it when I saw it as well.

I still can't believe it.
Did I accidentally order a sample size by mistake?
This can't be it!

10 grams:eek:
I don't even think that is 1/2 oz.
I paid $9.99 for 10 grams?

What makes it so bad is that the jar is not
Even that deep. I poked the cream with a bobbypin
And I hit the bottom of the jar quick.

I bought this off eBay and left positive feedback
Since I received the cream and shipping was fast. I didn't see anything in her feedback that spoke of size. I was expecting at least 1oz, but 10 grams:confused: This cream better be potent to be in such a small jar. I think I might run out before or just when I'm starting to see results.

Should I get another jar?

The bar of papaya soap should be here any day now, can't wait to see that.

Aww nuts!
NOW I see another listing for 25 grams.
Guess I ordered the small jar. Oooops.

Here is a question in her Q&A section:

Q: How much cream is inside the container?

A: It contains 10 grams. However, this is so concentrated, you only need a pea-sized amount 2-3 times a week, that 1 container lasts at least 3 months (I'm still using mine, and I opened it July 2005 - I only use it once a week though - or else I'd look like a ghost, which is not my goal)

3 months?

I e-mailed the eBay seller SouthGain and here is their answer to the Dr. Belo and Diana Stalder products:

Thanks for your question! Yes, some of our "competitors" are trying to make the situation very confusing. I'll try to explain.

The Stalder Group is comprised of several companies, one of which is Stalder Laboratories, which makes the Diana Stalder line of skin care products. This line of products is named after one of the daughters of the owners. Some dermatologists sell the Diana Stalder line at marked-up prices.

The Stalder Group also makes several other lines of products for other dermatologists in the Philippines. It's widely accepted as fact that one of their customers is Dr. Vicki Belo, who is perhaps the most famous dermatologist in the Philippines. But apparently Stalder is under a non-disclosure agreement, and thus not legally allowed to confirm or deny this relationship. I can say that Stalder supplies the vast majority of dermatologists in the Philippines.

So it's possible to buy products with the label of some famous dermatologists, while in fact, the products are made by Stalder. However, these are NOT the same formulation as the Diana Stalder product line. Anyone who is selling unlabeled products, or products that they have relabeled, and is calling them Diana Stalder products is simply not being honest. Stalder does sell some unlabeled products--again, NOT Diana Stalder formulations--directly to dermatologists who label them with their own brand. It is a contractual violation to resell these unlabeled products directly to consumers.

Remember, SouthGain Enterprises is the only authorized distribution center in the U.S. for Diana Stalder products. So you can be sure of what you are getting when you buy from us. You can easily confirm our status with the Stalder Group, or on their web site. In fact, you can confirm all of this information with them, except that they will probably not be able to comment on their relationship with specific dermatologists due to non-disclosure agreements.

Regards,
Tim and Joana

Belo essentials doesn't work. These products are manufactured to reach a certain population(B-C class) in the philippines. They did this because they know that Belo is a household name, but if you want faster result... the BELO WHITE is more effective but unfortunately its only available in their clinics:(

I know this seller pnaybeauty, and I completely agree with you. The branded Diana Stalder has different formula than the Unbranded one-Though they came from the same company.
The Unbranded "DS" product (bleaching creams and black soap) contains Hydroquinone.

The Unbranded "DS" product (bleaching creams and black soap) contains Hydroquinone.

How do you know this:confused:
Did you have the products tested to see if they in fact
Contain hydroquinone?

For a second I thought maybe they did.
I ran across this website.
You see the jar of bleaching cream?
look a like jar of cream (http://asianskincare.wetpaint.com/page/Bleaching+Creams+and+Lotions)

That Kligman's formula cream looks exactly like my cream
I purchased from an eBay seller. The Kligman's formula has
Hq in it.

Same size, same jar, same round white sticker on
Top with the writing in blue letters except mine reads
"whitening cream 10g", manufactured in the same
Location (philippines).

And I thought for a second it might be the same cream.
But I look and see there are other creams being sold,
Including the kojic acid cream. (http://asianskincare.wetpaint.com/page/Kojic+Acid+Bleaching+Line) It also looks iike the jar of lightening
Cream I purchased.

Now that bar of soap is the EXACT bar of kojic acid soap
I received and I thought that bar of soap was exclusive
To the DS line, if you Google you will see other
Sellers (mostly from philippines) also selling this soap.

Again, I bought my cream and soap from the unlabeled/unbranded seller.
I hope that her products
Don't contain hq, which I don't mind using but I am looking
For natural products besides Fair and Flawless I can use that
Work just has good. I like switching products so my skin won't
Get used to the cream. At least I heard with some skin products that can happen.
My favorite hydroquinone product
Is Reviva Labs Brown Spot Remver (night cream) only 2%hq
But works like a 4% cream due to the fact it does not contain
Mineral oil or petroleum so it really penetrates the skin very well.

Ok... let me get this straight.
The labeled and the unlabeled/unbranded ones are not the same formula but come from and are manufactured by the
Same company The Stalder Group/ Stalder Labortories
Which also sells the ones with the labels on them.

That's the answer SouthGain wrote to my questions.
I wonder what is the difference in the formula's?
It's coming from the same company anyway.

They sell unlabeled products to dermatologist including
Dr.Vicki Belo, she puts her own name on the products.
So am I getting the same product as patients of Dr.Belo?

Because she also (reportedly) get's her products from the Stalder group, unlabeled.
I got mine unlabeled too!

When they mean labeled they mean the Diane name is on the bottle not Dr. Belo right:confused:

This is what confused me about the two names being involved.
Sorry if my post confused anyone:o

Forgot to ask.
What is BCP:confused:

From the staldergroup site: About BCP-

BCP Dermatolological corporation, headed by Mrs. Dina dela Paz-Stalder as President and Chief Executive Officer, was established in July 1999 with the vision of providing quality skin care products to Filipinos. As a 100% Filipino-owned company, BCP Dermatological Corporation was instituted by a Filipino for Filipinos.

The company has since then grown and carved a niche in the personal care industry, eventually venturing out into other business pursuits such as the importation and distribution of dermatological machines. An affiliate company, Stalder Laboratories, Inc. manufactures its top-of-the-line products and cosmetics.

BCP Dermatological Corporation markets its products both directly to doctors through the Ethical Products Division and to consumers through the Consumer Products Division.

It offers a variety of equipment from England, Germany, Japan, China and America for clinic and salon use. Its purpose is to continuously establish worldwide trade partnership to benefit local clients for modern and state-of-the-art facial and beauty centers.

Being brown isn't a bad thing. I just don't like the fact that I am brown. I don't know, maybe I have a mental problem or something but when I look in the mirror and see my dark skin I am disgusted and what's worse, is the fact that I know I'm not ugly. I have girls coming at me left and right ( a bit of exaggeration, but you know what I mean). I just don't like what I see. I feel like I should have been born white. I don't know why. Its sort of like guys who get a sex change because they believe they should have been born a girl and vice-versa. Well, I'm a black person and I feel like I should have been born white. I don't hate black people or anything like that, I'm just not happy in my own skin. Its 2008 and I believe people should be able to change ANYTHING about themselves to make them happy. Getting to a lighter shade would def make me happy. If you don't like it then don't. I'm not asking you to, I'm only asking you to accept it.

Stalder Laboratories/chemist made all those products according to each dermatologist formula/order. The unlabeled products- they can't call it Diana Stalder because it's different formula from the Diana Stalder which they have their own formulation. Although it made by Stalder laboratories. Diana Stalder is really strict/firm saying if it's not package or labeled with Diana Stalder it's not genuine.

For example dermatologist A would like to produce a soap with this kind of formula but don't have a place or machine to make a big volume of soap. She needs to contact the Stalder Laboratories through BCP to make using her own formula. So she decided to put her own label later once it's made. Dermatologist B has his own formula will do the same thing as Dermatologist A and use his own label. Dermatologist C - she did the same thing as the two dermatologists and labeled her as Diana Stalder. All of those Dermatologists have their own formulation in every product. Maybe one of the dermatologist formulas has a HQ. The products that have HQ need dermatologist supervision. BCP is like a broker for those dermatologists. BCP is in charge of marketing and distribution. BCP Dermatological Corporation markets its products both directly to doctors through the Ethical Products Division and to consumers through the Consumer Products Division.

Diana Stalder is own by Dina dela Paz- Stalder and she's also the President and Chief Executive Officer of BCP. But those unlabeled are not hers. DS papaya kojic bar , licorice bar, lemon bar , revitalizing bar and oatmeal bar soap have a DS stamped logo (within the soap) except those transparent soap: black soap, tea tree, collagen, glycerine (I don't know why).

Hi Jammix master. I used the Vicki Belo products that I purchased off eBay. Although the shipment arrived fast... I could tell that it was packaged by the seller (meaning placed in a bottle and labled). I was really desperate, so I tried the product as directed. I ordered the Papya soap and black licorce soap as well to go along with the skin and face bleach. Needless to say, out of all the products that I've tried... these products lightened my skin by 2 shades. Before I had a Gabriel Union skin tone... and before it was all said in done, my skin tone had achieved a Vivaca Fox color. It remained that way (without sunscreen) for about 3 months. If I would've kept it up... it would've lasted longer. It is however a big hassel and a lot of work (at least for me it was)... but the results were amazing.

Really? That's excellent for you but my experience was a bit different. IT BROKE ME OUT! I willl NEVER use Vicki Belo again, her products made me break out all over my fabulous face! I had to use extensive cover up to hide my acne from her stupid products, I think it was the soap more than the lotion or face wash, but whatever. I didn't like it, I might as well go with something else, but I do not recommend vicki belo, but that's just my opinion, for others (such as Jace032000) it worked fine.

I am using Belo Essentials the pink version and it is working on my skin. My skin feels so soft and it is getting lighter. I am a black American I have medium brown skin, and when I go outside into the sunlight I can see how light my skin is getting. I ordered my set on eBay.

Hmm, well maybe I didn't give it a chance, honestly I only used it twice and once I started breaking out I automatically blamed it on the Belo Essentials Blue set. Maybe I'll re-order at a later date and try it again.

Belo essentials are effective. Well, it depends also to a person's skin type. I might say that your skin doesn't fit to the blue one. Maybe it's the pink one that does. But I don't want you to blame it on me if that pink also didn't suit you. It's just my opinion. :) generally, all those products from belo are not fake. Actually, that is the secret why celebreties here in the philippines have beautiful, white and gorgeous skins. Maybe it just didn't work out to your skin. Sorry for contradicting you. Hehe. Take care!

I bought mine from the same seller on eBay. I'm using the last round of the 1 month treatment (3 hand & bod bleaching lotion and 3 black soaps with 3 facial bleaching cream) I bought.

I don't really like the result. My skin pills like crazy! And the colour is not what I can call a lighter colour to what I had before - is tann like colour.

I don't no whether to keep using it, cause most part of my body has pilled, or to bin the dam thing, + I am scared of spoiling my whole body to this cream. From what I can see, my body was actually lighter than when I started using the cream, which is more scary for me

In Summary I think is making my skin dark instead of lightening it:mad: I am an african lady with normal brown colour skin.

I wonder how yours is going. Please share your experience

Has anyone else use this products?

My skin is doing well with these products.
I bought the Papaya Soap and the Whitening Cream.

The first couple of times I used the soap
It made my face really tight and it started to
Peel a little, nothing big that someone else would
Notice but after that it was fine and my face starting lightening.

I'm doing great with these products they are working for me.

Maybe the products are too strong for you, if your getting darker you should stop. Not all products work for all people.

Is belo essential whitening products really effective?

Not from my experience but I only used it for a few weeks. I stopped using it for the main reason that I did not want to start my depig process before I had surgeries on my nose, lips, cheeks and eyelids (the surgeries are to change my facial structure in order to fit my new skin tone when I do depig. As I am african american, I have african american features, such as a larger nose, full lips, low cheek bones, etc. And since I want to have a white skin tone I need the surgery in order to get features that fit the new tone). But anyway, for me Viki Belo didn't work but as I said, I only used it for a few weeks.

jammixmaster,

I hope you don't mind me asking but You mentioned on another post that you have a large circle of friends on campus, so have you told them about the surgery and if so what have they said ?

I've only told my VERY CLOSE circle of friends, the ones I've known the longest, which is only about 5 or 6 people. Also, my close friends from high school figured it out, I didn't tell them but somehow they figured it out that I wasn't happy being African American and want to completely depigment. I don't know how though. The weird thing is, surprisingly, none of them thought any less of me. They were actually 100% OK with it. They told me that its my body and if changing it that drastically will make me happy then I should do it, after I've considered all of my options. But the rest of my college friends have no clue, most of them except my really close ones I prob won't see after graduation anyway.

jammixmaster,

You are very lucky to have friends that are understanding of your goals. It's hard to find really true friends who will not sit in judgement. I truly wish you the very best for your surgery and your future happiness. We are all entitled to strive for our dreams even if others don't fully understand our reasons.

TO NIKKICUTE: mainly white friends, those are who I prefer to hang around, seeing as most of the young population of African Americans tend to be... on the wrong path in life.

To Skingovernment: I'm going to get a rhinoplasty (nose job), my cheek bones raised, permanent eye liner, my lips thinned and a forehead life and a face lift.

To MAHARANI: Thank you very much

I do have a good paying "job". I'm a real estate investor. I usually make around $20,000 a month, depending on the market. Anyway, I'm not too young for a face lift. I need one to soothe my skin for the new skin tone. I know surgeries are expensive but I can swing it. And I'm only going to move to Florida.. I'm getting my surgeries done in New York.

Hi girls, I think I've come to the right place to ask my question regarding these whitening products. Thanks god.

I'm a chinese girl and I used to have light skin, but a months ago I worked at a festival where I was exposed to the sun for 2 days and my body got tanned really bad. I guess I didn't put enough of sunscreen at the time. I was so regretted.

Anyway, back to my concern... I was reading all your comments about the whitening products from Dr. Belo and also DIANA STALDER. (labeled/unlabeled) I also did some searches at eBay.

So here I found 3 sellers as follow:
1. fanio1982 (http://stores.ebay.com/HBA-Closeouts_Asias-Finest-Skin-Care_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZ13300569QQftidZ2QQtZkm ) - She sells:
Original Vicki BELO ESSENTIALS Skin Whitening BLUE SET/PINK SET
- DIANA STALDER Skin Whitening Sensitive Skin Set

2. filipinagoddess
3. flawlessforever

However I tried to search for CelebritySkincare but I couldn't locate any seller with this ID.

I want to know if you guys recommend me to buy from fanio1982 since she has the DIANA STALDER labeled products? (Hydroquinone not listed as ingredient)

And to those of you who bought the unlabeled products, do those work out for you still? And to nikki, did that 10g cream still work out for you or you would need to buy more since it's so little?

I really need some advices since I really want to get back to lighter skin.

Thanks

Nikki here.
I bought the unlabeled from seller filipinagoddess,
Along with the Kojic Acid soap.

Great soap (strong soap), had to back off a day or
Two because it made my face a little sore, but I
Continued to use the cream everyday.

Using the soap with the cream although only 10g
Worked well and lasted. I lighted up and still had a lot of the cream left in the jar.

I really didn't think it would last, now I only used it
On my face, not my neck or any other part of my
Body, so it will last if you use it for facial lightening
Only.

Hi, I have been using the product for going in my second week. My face is peeling which is OK, I do not mind because it feels moisturized.. I just want to make sure this is supposed to happen. In addition, I do use proactive, but is there a moisturize which you would recommend my skin seems moisturized but if feel raw, especially my chin, I guess from the washcloth it has a dark scab.

I realized that the moisturize I am using (anew from Avon) burns when I put it on. Any suggestions.

Subject: Re: Message from eBay Member Regarding Item #370114829979

Hi,
Yes, after a few applications, your skin might peel, burn or itch & will seemingly get darker, ashier and drier due to dead skin cells being resurfaced – these are normal side effects & is part of the bleaching & anti-aging process.
Avoid using moisturizers with exfoliating ingredients like retinol, alpha/beta-hydroxy or salicylic acid, or else your skin might burn. For oily skin, use an oil-free, humectant (as opposed to occlusive) moisturizer. This was originally intended for Philippine weather conditions (hot & humid) so it's best to complement this with your favorite moisturizer - or just use a moisturizer with sun protection SPF 30 or higher+ the specific UVA blocking ingredients below and save yourself a step in your beauty routine.
Please let me know if you need further assistance..
Thanks and regards

Thanks for the follow up, I do appreciate your insight, I live in Florida so sunscreen is an essential part of my daily routine. I am glad to know this is a process and not the product ruining my skin. I do wonder how long this process will last before I start to see some good results. Any estimation based on other customers would be of great help. Again, I do appreciate you patients and understanding.

Hi,
Peeling goes off after 3-4 days. Some will begin to see results after 3 applications, some will see results in about 5-10 treatments, some will need to wait up to 8 weeks to see full results.
Hope this answers your question.
Thanks and have a nice day

Has anyone used any of the Philippines Medical Doctor Vicki Belo's whitening products. I came across a few of her products on ebay and i wanted to know if anyone has tried her whitening products with any success. Its said that shes performed countless cosmetic surgeries for dozens of Philappino entertainers. If anyone has any info on any of Dr. Vicki Belo's whitening products, advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

*** what could be a advertisement part was deleted, link not needed to properly address question

You could just buy her products at an Asian supermarket or Filipino store near you that supplies her products. It's as widely used as the Likas Papaya soaps, so it shouldn't be too hard to find offline.

I've tried them before, the soaps at least. Either I'm not leaving them on for long or it just doesn't work at all. I didn't see much difference.

The price for the soap usually depends on the store. Here in the U.S. I've seen it priced at around $1.20 - $ 4.99.

As for the results, I don't know. I didn't see any significant difference when I tried the soaps. But then again this has been the case for almost every Filipino whitening soap I've tried.
