Hi Friends,

I am PhD student in US and I will be defending this March end. I have a job offer. I would like to request for an OPT but the International services in our university told me that it will take at least 3 months to get an OPT with JOB OFFER LETTER. Could you please let me know whether this information is correct?

Also, my company wants to file H1B for me this April. My question is whether I require to have an OPT for filling the H1B?
