A neighbor (probably college kid) placed a lovely lithograph in the trash receptacle room so I picked it up. The lithograph is signed in 2 places on the front (unless one side is title and the other is signature) and it's numbered on the back of the paper. It is very high quality French paper watermarked with the French paper manufacturer. I cannot decipher the artist's name well and am trying to find out if it's worth anything. It appears to be all original. I am not sure - but also appears to be late 1800's or early 1900's - though I could be totally wrong. The writing on the bottom left says Chacum som Toui (? )... hard to read. The right side has a signature. The back says DH5657 and these are all in pencil. The top left says Copyright by O'Klein and underneath says Chamarande 1S&O1?? Top right says Eau forte originate. The picture is of a number of dogs in line for a tree that has a sign saying "IGI"... which I imagine means bathroom. All of the dogs in line appear to be "holding it in" and really having to go oui oui. Hahah The colors are all black and white, except for some red and green shirts and collars that dogs are wearing. Can someone tell me where I might find out more information about this? It's a really cute lithograph and I'd like to sell it if it's worth any money. If not? It perfect for the restroom.
Thanks!
