I forget the actual terminology for this but here it goes.

The green key on the dash keeps flashing. During our flow chart repair it says might needed reprogrammed. I looked at the key and it's not like a GM with the evident chip. No farther chart to fix it or by-pass it. Any thoughts?

Here is how it was towed to the shop.
Parking Violation and was impounded. Since, the battery was stolen. So they towed it and I replaced the battery.
Now, it's a no start, cranks fine, and is in time. Getting spark just once as the is tured on then nothing.
At the same time, The noid light does the same thing.

But the key keeps flashing.

No promises. Try this. Pull the ECM fuse for 5 minutes and re-insert.

Took the steering wheel cover off and found 4 wires that are responsible for the reading of the key.
From there I get lost with adding power to that or supply a ground.
Mitchell is not very informative at this point.

Any more ideas, thoughts, tips?

I would imagine that the device reading the key consists primarily of a coil of wire.
I'd also believe that the gismo probably needs, power, ground, signal ground and data. The data goes directly to the ECM.

Let us know what they find.

Here is documantation for a simple RFID reader.

I was off in terms of signals: power, ground, data and not enable.

Let's hope it's not the ECM.
