Hey all here at AMHD!

There are so many members on this site and I don't know where a lot of you are from!

So where do you reside? The US... which state?

Outside the US?

And tell me something significant about where you live! (no adresses... I don't want you to feel like you are being stalked :))

I would love to hear!

I live in Philadelphia. Hmmmm something interesting about Philly. Besides all the historical sites our sports teams have not won a championship since 1983!! OH and Our last Mayor (John Street) actually sat outside an apple store waiting for the release of the IPHONE. Not to many people were happy about that.

I forgot the "something significant" part. Here it goes :

Florida, I absolutely love. I definitely am going to live there again someday. I miss everyone and everything there.

Kentucky, not so much a fan. I have family there, and they are awesome, but the scenery isn't really my thing. Kind of barren.

North Carolina was cool. Very pretty.

California is great. I don't live in Hollywood, or anywhere near it, but its still awesome. I live in the "Raisin Capital of the World", and we grow more fruit here than anywhere else I've ever seen.

Born in Ohio - only one year, no memories
Michigan - great place to grow up, lots and lots of snow!
Pennsylvania - only a year, first boyfriend, learning prepositions, Philly... *sigh*
New York - SNOW, lake effect snow, Buffalo/Syracuse snow, and more snow
Illinois - Chicago!! Yessss...
Kentucky - Bluegrass, horses, history, friends, family, home
Maryland - Baltimore Crab Cakes - nothing better
Florida - it was OK, I think FL is a great place to visit, but it wasn't for me
Tennessee (current) - I love TN, close to home, yet far enough away to vacuum before Mom shows up
China - two years - amazing, exhilerating, would-do-again-in-heartbeat, Great Wall, Forbidden City, Xi'an, Tienanmen Square, culture, food, friends, priceless memories

I was born in Kinston NC, moved to Taylorsville NC, then moved to western NY northwest of Rochester, came to the Chicago area to attend college, married a local guy, and am still here.

Every place I've lived in has had its charms and beautiful scenery, but there's no place like home--which for me is New York State.

Lets see...

Born in New Jersey... thats where a lot of my younger memories are stored
Moved to Georgia... too hot, huge a** spiders, and scorpions... not for me
Lived in Deleware... didn't get a great impression... went to school in the city, bad experience
Moved to NH... lived there for 9 years
And now here in the Spirit of America!

Yes, I did have quite a random childhood... which is why I blame the constant state of randomness in my head on my parents. :)

Scorpions... yeah... I ate one of those things in China. That was one of those peer pressure moments that I regret. And not one of the better memories of living in China!

I wouldn't! :)

I love the town though... its big city but TINY!

And the hockey is good - any place that has hockey is all right in my book

I was born in Germany, to be specific Rothenburg ob der Tauber, and I lived in a small town called Weikersheim until I was almost 4 year old. Then the family packed up their bags and headed for Canada, that's were I've planted my roots. We live in a town close to Edmonton, Alberta, home of the Oilers (hockey team) who brought the world Wayne Gretzky. I don't plan on moving, but a place without 8 months of winter would be nice.

Altenweg! I was born in germany and lived there my first four years too. I lived all over the place. I can't tell you where I was. I'm pretty settled in Scotland at the moment though, some madness has made me start a Ph.D. Should be working in France for a bit soon. Can't speak French yet though... :~

I vaguely remember a story about how a crow crapped on a sidewalk and the sun hatched me. Hmmm thanks Grandpa.

I'm in Pennsylvania. Smack between the Penn State Nittany Lions and the home of the Little League World Series. It's awesome here, beautiful mountains and forests.
