I don't remember a lot about this movie.. but this is what I remember.. it wasn't animated or a cartoon.. it was a real life movie.. there were sisters or friends living in a house together and they always wore dresses.. old fashioned dresses.. it was kind of like a cottage where they lived.. one of the girls was cutting an apple in the front yard with a knife.. there was a stone pathway leading to the house.. there was a man in the movie that talked to the girls.. I guess he was a neighbor.. but he was handsome and charming... I think the girls had some sort of secret passageway by their rooms.. if anyone can help me out with the title that would be great!

It sounds kind of like little woman and also like the 12 dancing princesses
