I have to build a new bridge across my creek. Driveway to house. I am going to use steel H beams on 48" centers. The creek is 14' wide 7' foot deep the drive 20' wide. I was thinking 12"H x 5" W x 3/8 thk..H beams ,corrugated steel deck w 6" concrete. I need a max load of 25 ton. The structure will actually be 20' span 22' wide and set on concrete footings. Do you think this will work or will I need different H beams?

Thank You for your time

Concrete and rebar (use # 5s) alone will weigh about 20 tons. Piers should be 24" diameter, use #4 reinforcing rods, at least 3' below grade. Do 6' centers on the piers, Steel 12" web, 6" flange, AT LEAST 5/8" web thickness, preferably 3/4". My Cat D-7 weighs 21.5 tons and I MIGHT consider crossing that bridge. You are talking about 3 tons of beams if done right. If you don't know concrete and steel someone is going to get hurt building this. It is NOT an amateur project.
